God of War, Ascension: the fourth console God of War game. Was confirmed on April 19, 2012. The studio that produced God of War, God of War II and God of War III, Sony Santa Monica, is developing God of War: Ascension. It has been confirmed to be a prequel to the first God of War on PlayStation. God of War: Ascension will feature a multiplayer mode that was revealed on April 30, 2012.
